FoCE Welcomes Vince Hall as New Executive Director

Future of California Elections (FoCE) today announced the appointment of Vince Hall as Executive Director.  Hall brings over two decades of public policy experience in local, state, and federal government to his new position, including serving as Staff Director for Governor Gray Davis.  More recently he served for eight years as Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications for Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, where he directed governmental relations and served on the State Legislative Committee.  He has also served as a consultant to communities engaged in redistricting, bringing experience in, and passion for, fair and efficient elections.
“Our members are delighted to welcome Vince to lead our work,” said Doug Chapin, FoCE consultant and founding director. “Vince brings a unique combination of skills and experience to this position, and his leadership will complement the efforts of FoCE members to renew and strengthen efforts to modernize California elections.”
Future of California Elections was formed in late 2011 to examine and address the unique challenges facing the State of California’s election system.  FoCE members include election administrators, leaders of civil rights organizations and election reform advocates. Together they represent the public servants charged with managing the process, groups representing a diverse spectrum of California voters and advocates dedicated to an open, transparent and well-functioning system of democracy in California.
FoCE’s annual conference will be held at the Sacramento Convention Center on February 18-19, 2015.  More information is available online at .
